Welcome to NaturHen! A small chicken supply shop owned and operated out of Colorado. We believe that chicken keeping should be should be accessible to everyone, even those without a farm or a lot of land. Because chickens can be more than just livestock, they make great backyard pets and can be a part of the family!

Over three decades ago, our co-owner Jessica took her first steps into the world of backyard chicken farming when her parents bought a few little backyard silkies. What started as a small flock soon turned into a lifelong pursuit of providing the best possible care for these remarkable animals. Over the years, we showed fancy bantams, and even became caretakers of a feral chicken flock in Hawaii. 

In 2020, a significant turning point arrived when our co-owner Ryan, with his innate talent for design, began crafting stunning coops for local clients. His designs and Jessica’s writing caught the attention of Harper Collins, UK, propelling them both to international recognition as contributors to the renowned book, "The Backyard Chickenkeeper's Bible," which can now be found in stores across North America and the UK.

Fueled by our decades-old love of chicken keeping, NaturHen was born. Every single product in our shop is the result of countless hours of careful design and testing on our very own flock.
